Sunday Lake Day...

July 31, 2011...
Sunday was a bit breezier so we spent most of the afternoon driving back and forth along the other side of the lake and making several stops at the public beach where the boys played in the sand and water with their toys.  Here are some pics of them playing in the water and along the beach.

Saturday Fun on the Water...

July30, 2011...
Saturday was a gorgeous day on the water.  We went out for breakfast on the pontoon with lots of good food as usual.  We spent the rest of the day riding around, stopping to jump in, and playing at the public beach.  They boys took turns helping Papa Lonnie drive the pontoon and later on Danny took his turn too and the boys helped him out too.  They love helping drive(until they get bored).  The boys took many, many chances to jump into the lake today too.  They sure love the water.  After supper Ethan wanted to ski again so Grandma Carol pulled him behind the waverunner on their blow up ski tube.  He was gonna try real skiing but it got cool quicker than we thought.  Maybe tomorrow.

While we were stopped at the public beach, the family that was having a family reunion setup this huge slip n slide so the boys joined in and had a lot of fun taking their turns going down it.

Some people had brought this huge floating dock out to the lake and all these pontoons and boats and jetskis were tied up together in the middle of the lake take.

Friday Water Fun...

July 29, 2011...
Friday was a beautiful day.  We went out for a pontoon ride later on in the afternoon and the boys wanted to jump in the lake and swim over and over so we parked in the middle and let them have fun.  Even I went in to cool off for a bit.  Water feels really good once you are in.  The boys had so much fun jumping in over and over and over and over...well you get the picture. :)  Tristan was a little leary right away but after he started jumping there was no stopping him either.

Dentist Appointments...

July 26, 2011...
Today both boys had dentist appointment checkup/cleanings.  This was Tristan's 1st visit to the dentist so I wasn't sure what to expect.  Both boys did awesome though.  They sat so good and did just what they were asked.  Tristan did super.  I wasn't sure if Tristan would get scared once it was his turn or not but he didn't.  I was very proud of them both.  They each got to choose a new toothbrush(Ethan a green one and Tristan a clear one), they each got to choose a toothpaste(they both chose bubble gum flabored), and they each got one of each color Toy Story flossers.  They were very excited about that.  And after each was done, they got to choose two prizes from the treasure chest.  Ethan chose a little notepad and red stretchy bracelet.  Tristan chose a little horsey and a blue stretchy bracelet.  After their appointments, I told them we could go to lunch, so guess where they picked, you guessed it...McDonalds!  They were very good at lunch too.

July 25, 2011...
It was a nice evening so after supper, we headed down to the sand area and the boys played in the sand for quite awhile.  They were moving sand with their trucks all over the place.  Then they were ready to go ride their bikes and scooter for awhile.  They also played some basketball and rode the 4-wheeler around and went up and got the mail for me too.  It sure was a nice evening again.

The Boys "Skiing"...

July 25, 2011...
This weekend the we saw a kid on the blow up skis so then Ethan was content that he needed to try skiing again too.  So, Sunday, Grandma Carol and Tristan pulled Ethan behind the jetski.  He got a lot braver the longer he kept trying.  He was doing pretty good towards the end.  Then today, Tristan decided he wanted to give it a try too.  He did really good too.  They both were good at standing up already too.  They sure had a lot of fun.

Afternoon Outside...

July 23, 2011...
This afternoon the boys and I headed outside to play for awhile after we cleaned up in the basement, moved down the toys from the living room, and got some more of Tristan's decorations for his new room put up.  I'll have to take some pictures of his room tomorrow.  First the boys wanted a treat so we had fruit bars and ice cream bars and then we headed to the sand to play with the toys and read my book.  It got nice out when the sun finally came out and actually was quite warm.  Here are a couple pics...

Camp Grassik Parade of Boats...

July 17, 2011…

On the day that Camp Grassik has their picnic for the public, we try to have a boat parade in the morning for the campers.  We were the pirates this year.  I didn’t get a picture of ours though, can’t believe it.  So just have the shots from inside the pontoon of us.  We had breakfast on the water too as we were waiting for everyone else and driving over to the camp.  The boys sure had fun with their swords and waving them around when we got there.  The campers sounded pretty excited too.  Other pontoon themes were tropical, American, Christmas, and 4^th of July.  Think that was all of us.  It’s a fun time and it’s worth it to see how excited the kids at camp are to see it.

July 6, 2011...
We took the week after the 4th off to work on puting in the new tile in the basment.  As we were working, Tristan came over and said I'm going to sleep downstairs tonight.  We said ok.  We put on his Cars comforter to make it seem like his "new" room to him and he was so proud.  He stayed down all night without even coming out and he's been down there since.  So proud of him.  Can't believe he decided all on his own he was ready.

Ethan's Last T-Ball Game...

Ethan's last T-Ball game was on Tuesday.  He did really good.  Here is a team picture of the  kids on his "Twisters" team.

Swimming Lessons...

July 11 -15, 2011...
Swimming lessons started this week for the boys.  They both tried it out, but Tristan was not quite ready.  Finally got him to sit along the pool ledge by Ethan and he was very much against him the whole time as you can see with his hand on Ethan's back.  It was pretty cute.  Then when they were all supposed to get in, he just wasn't quite ready to do it.  So it's just Ethan this year and Tristan's gonna wait till next summer.  Ethan is doing very well.  Today he got moved to the 4 foot section and he is SUPER excited about that.  He now gets to do more swimming stuff and is doing very well.
